Reading items inside the library |
Materials in the library are for free reading. A Request for Using Valuable Materials needs to be filled in for access to these items. Books and journals kept in a laboratory or a professor's office are not available for use in the library. |

Photocopying |
Materials may be photocopied within the allowances of copyright laws. A photocopy machine is available in front of the counter on the first floor (photocopy charges are 10 yen for a black-and-white copy and 50 yen for a color copy). No change is available. Please bring your coins. Microfilms may be printed on paper (35 yen a sheet, black and white only). |

Circulation |
Circulation is available, on a trial basis (up to 5 books for 2 weeks). Click here for details. Those who have a letter of introduction from one of the University faculty members or staff members are also eligible (up to 5 books for 2 weeks). Those without a letter of introduction may ask for an interlibrary loan at the library of the university or institution you belong to or at your local public library. |
Students on intercollegiate programs (e.g. University of the Air students, et al.) are eligible to borrow items (up to 5 books for 2 weeks). Those who have a letter of introduction from one of the University faculty members or staff members are also eligible (up to 2 books for 2 weeks). Those without a letter of introduction may ask for an interlibrary loan at the library of the university or institution you belong to or at your local public library. Journals are not
available for circulation. |
